Spend a beach day at Brenton-on-Sea

Go bird watching at Goukamma Game Reserve
Bare witness to the finer things in life and visit Goukamma Game Reserve for an array of colourful birds, unique flora and smaller wildlife. Covering 25 000 hectares of dense coastal forest, Goukamma Game Reserve is home to vervet monkey, bushbuck and bushpig, as well as honey badgers, porcupine, and mongooses. Keep a look out for the rare African black oystercatcher, which makes the sandy dunes its home. There are over 220 species of bird found in the reserve, making Goukamma a birder’s dream.

Visit the Knysna Elephant Park
Established in 1994, the Knysna Elephant park was the first facility in South Africa to care for orphaned African Elephants. There are nine elephants in the current herd, but the park itself has raised over forty elephants in the twenty years it’s been operational. The elephants in the park include rescues, orphaned calves and relocated elephants. The Knysna Elephant Park offers tours, elephant back rides and a chance to interaction in an educational way with these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat.
