GaySA Radio Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival is set to take place in Knysna 26 April to 1 May 2017. The Festival is a celebration of the LGBTQ community across Southern Africa and features fine art exhibitions, craft markets, themed parties, fashion shows, visibility workshops and ‘meet & greets’ with The Queens of Wigstock Hostesses. The Big Splash takes place at Lakeside Lodge & Spa on Sunday. This is your chance to support the Pink Loerie Foundation by creating a costume hat and then taking the 200m plunge into the lake with a fabulous hat.
The most creative hat wins a weekend stay and a 30 minute massage at Lakeside Lodge & Spa. The Queens of Wigstock will also be performing in a drag show in the amphitheatre at 13h00. You can also enjoy water sports on the lake and live music until 20h00 to top off a spectacular weekend.
The Pink Loerie Craft Market will also be on from Wednesday 26 April to Saturday 30 April from 10h00 to 17h00.
