Celebrate New Year’s Eve in style with the Turbine Hotel & Spa‘s masquerade-themed event. Taking place on the 31st of December 2018 from 20h00, enjoy a sumptuous 3-course meal at our Island Café for just R730 per person. Unfortunately, no under 18’s will be permitted this year.
Don your best mask and join us for a fantastic evening of food, fun and celebrations. Each course in the evening’s menu will feature several options to ensure a suitable alternative for all guests.
The feast will begin with a choice of two equally delicious starters; an ostrich kebab with gooseberry compote on a cumin and couscous salad, or seared salmon and a prawn wonton served with egg noodles as well as sautéed pak choi lamb and lentil tortellini minestrone.
After kicking off the meal with a bang, our New Year’s Eve celebration moves through to the main phase. Whether you’re a meat or fish fan, this course is sure to be a winner. Choose from three exciting options; a rack of Karoo lamb on smoked potato puree, confit duck on sweet potato puree and a sour cherry jus, or baked lemon garlic sole served with caper hollandaise and a warm bean salad.
As we mean to end as we began, the dessert selection will be equally inviting. A buffet-style affair, this course invites indulgence. Select some tantalising options from the array available; cappuccino mousse profiteroles, carrot cake, lemon meringue, peppermint crisp cheesecake, macadamia nut chocolate brownie, chocolate mousse, or malva pudding with custard. Should these not be up your alley, tuck into some cheese and crackers served with preserves or simply enjoy a cup of coffee that will tide you over until midnight.
As midnight approaches, gather your bubbles and prepare for a countdown to the New Year. There’s no need to rush off in true Cinderella-style afterwards, feel free to sit and drink some champagne or coffee at your leisure. Equally, if you choose to leave before midnight, we won’t judge you for it!
