Join the Turbine Hotel & Spa for a delicious daily breakfast at the Island Café. Hot breakfast is served between 07h00 and 10h00 every morning. Instead of opting for your usual, try our new Woodburners breakfast of two fried eggs, pork / beef sausage, back bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and grilled tomato all for just R70.
It’s always a good time to enjoy happy hour at the Turbine’s Gastro Pub. Join us on Friday evenings between 17h30 and 19h30 for some house wine, craft beer, or a cocktail. Bring along friends, family, and colleagues, all are welcome!
Turbine Thursdays – Flavours of the World | Thai Night
The Flavours of the World tour continues into 2019 with Turbine Thursdays. Our next event will take place on the 10th of January 2019 in the form of a Thai Evening. The menu includes an amuse-bouche of grilled duck & pork skewers followed by a choice of 3 mains ranging from stir fry to tom yum soup and grilled pork belly with rice for just R150.
Turbine Thursdays – Flavours of the World | South African Night
In a more local theme, 17 January 2019 is a South African themed evening at the Turbine. Commencing with classic Biltong, Droë Wors, and Roosterkoek followed by a choice of lamb bunny chow, a mixed grill, or beef bobotie. This is a must-do evening for locals and visitors alike!
Turbine Thursdays – Flavours of the World | Spanish Evening
The Turbine Thursdays tour takes us to Europe next on a Spanish themed evening taking place on 24 January 2019. Kicking off the night is gazpacho and cured ham followed by a choice of traditional dishes consisting of chicken paella, fried chorizo with new potatoes, or seared sardines topped with fried calamari.
Fine Wines by Goose Food & Wine Pairing
Taking place on 31 January 2019 at the Turbine’s Island Café is a decadent 4-course food and wine pairing for just R275 per person. The menu for the evening is as follows:
Seared tuna, grilled artichoke with olive tapenade paired with The Goose Sauvignon Blanc 2017.
Seared quail leg quarters with forest mushrooms, cannellini bean gnocchi with aged parmesan paired with The Goose Chardonnay 2016.
Braised springbok shank tortellini served with rich tomato fondu and sauteed kale paired with The Goose Expression 2009.
Honey and hazelnut panna cotta accompanied with dark chocolate gelato as well as a fig and coffee biscotti paired with The Goose Shiraz 2015.
