Lover of fine-dining and perfectly pairing your favourite meal with a glass of South Africa’s best vintages? Introducing the Chef’s Table Food and Wine Pairing evenings at the Island Café in Knysna.
Every first three Thursdays of the month, the in-house restaurant at Turbine Hotel & Spa hosts a Chef’s Table Food & Wine Pairing. Enjoy a decadent 3-course menu paired with our recommended in-house wines for just R295 per person. As a regular, you’ll never have the same dish twice, with the menu changing every week and the wines being switched up accordingly.
And then on the last Thursday of every month the restaurant hosts its Wine and Food Pairing Dinners at 18h30, in partnership with a selection of award-winning wine estates and breweries in the Western Cape. Sometimes the wine estates are swapped out with local breweries or gin distilleries, but there is always live music.

About Us
The Turbine Hotel & Spa is located on Thesen Islands, on the Knysna Lagoon, which is part of South Africa’s famous Garden Route. The hotel features 24 bedrooms and suites each of which boast their own individual personality. Once an old power station, it has been transformed into a quirky boutique hotel with a striking industrial backdrop and 5-star facilities. The hotel is part of a Heritage Walk on Thesen Islands, with its four imposing steam towers visible from far away.
